There is a moment in the inquiry journey when you get to see an island of clarity. But outside that small island, as soon as you start even thinking about the world or venturing out into it, there are triggers and anxiety. When we are in that small space of connection to oneness, no real ideas occur to you. You can't see how this space of oneness is going to intersect with the real world at all.
At this stage, the temptation may be to stay in "Peace" but isolate yourself from your world, or start trying to get this space of oneness to change or influence your old reality. You will feel this by an anxious, pressing feeling. The feeling that NEEDS something from the world. It NEEDS it to change. What you you want to do instead is start to expand into the world and notice where the anxieties and triggers come up. What if I stay in this place of connection and stop pleasing others? What if I allow myself to just wait here, in this space, and people will start forming opinions about me? (Opinions that I worked really hard to control before.) Let the anxiety rise and fall, feeling into the only solid place you can find in yourself, the place where you feel a connection to oneness. Allow yourself NOT to manage the old reality. See that it's okay if it doesn't work out in the way you'd hoped. Allow all to happen the way it wants to happen, and you will reality shifting in its time. Above all, in order to see the next steps you can't hide from life. You have to engage with it. And you have to allow it to be what it is, while you actively remind yourself to come from a connected place. If the options that presents itself doesn't fit, don't run away. This is when another option will occur.
